Special ACAMIMM session CIA’14, 7 - 13. 09. 14 Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary
We had been invited to the hotel Aurum in Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary, where the Conference on Inequalities and Applications was held, to present the ACAMiMM intensive programme as an example of Erasmus transnational cooperation. A special session entitled Analytical and Computer Assisted Methods in Mathematical Models was organized by the conference hosts and the ACAMiMM project coordinators. A part of the session was devoted to our recollections of what we have experience in 2010-2014 considering the Erasmus intensive programme. Thanks to that the ACAMiMM intensive programme and Erasmus projects in general were advertised in front of participants from all over the world.
After an introduction of the project coordinators (Katarzyna Chmielewska, Piotr Sworowski, Kazimierz Wielki University, Bydgoszcz, Poland) further interesting talks related to the topic were presented by professors:
Roman Ger (an ACAMiMM teacher, University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland),
László Székelyhidi (University of Debrecen, Debrecen, Hungary),
Saburou Saitoh (Gunma University, Kiryu, Japan).
Moreover, a problems and remarks session took place when we got to know how other new mathematical results had been successfully applied in engineering thanks to computer assisted methods. The main remark was presented by professor Szymon WÄ…sowicz, University of Bielsko-Biala, Nielsko-Biala, Poland.
The Conference of Inequalities and Applications was proved to be an interesting extension of ACAMiMM and gave us some ideas of broadening the cooperation in the future.
